In conjunction with the State of NH Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM), the Town is migrating users to a more efficient notification system. No new subscribers will be added to the currently aged system
This site is currently down for maintenance. It is expected to be restored no later than January 1, 2026
You may email specific questions/concerns to alerts@milford.nh.gov (note that we’re part-time, expect delays in responding)
It is NOT expected that routine weather alerts will be sent by the Town. There may be certain occasions that the Town may act and send out alerts that are very specific to our area and known in advance. Generally, weather alerting is already available through many real-time sources such as TV and radio media as well as from the National Weather Service (NWS) directly.
Under very urgent conditions, the State of NH Homeland Security and Emergency Management may send out alerts over the cellular systems. There is no subscription necessary, but these are optional and must be enabled on your mobile phone to receive them. Look in your phone settings for Government Alerts or similar.
If you are interested, the NWS NOAA Weather Radio system is operated 24 hours-a-day and will send out immediate alerts as warnings to the area. Inexpensive specialized radios are available for purchase through many sources. There is more information available from the NWS here, make sure to read the FAQ on that page as well.
