MESSAGE FROM THE BUDGET ADVISORY COMMITTEE
In the early 1970's the Town's people of Milford voted to create a Town Budget Advisory Committee to add a public element to the review of the Town's budget.
In the early 1970's the Town's people of Milford voted to create a Town Budget Advisory Committee to add a public element to the review of the Town's budget.
Each year the Town Moderator appoints 9 people, each a resident of Milford, to comprise the Town Budget Advisory Committee. Appointment by the Town Moderator ensures that the Budget Committee is an independent entity not subordinated or otherwise subject to the Select Board or other Town managing elements.
The role of the Budget Advisory Committee is to advise the Select Board and the Town Administrator, on budgetary matters as they prepare an operating budget to the residents of Milford, NH for a Town vote.
The Budget Advisory Committee meetings are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 at the following locations:
- Milford Police Dept. October 1, 2024 through February 1, 2025 with the following exceptions
- Milford Select Board Meeting room on Oct. 8th, Oct.29th, Dec 10th, Jan 14th
- Milford Ambulance Meeting room Dec 7th
All meetings are open to the public.
