Sergeant's Office
The Milford Police Department Patrol Sergeant is responsible for a group of officers known as a squad. Each respective Sergeant supervises one squad, and each officer in that squad reports directly to his or her assigned squad sergeant. Additionally, they conduct internal investigations and administer discipline, handle citizen complaints, as well as standard patrol duties. The Sergeant's Division answers directly to the Operations Commander.
Milford Police Patrol Sergeants are required to pass a series of written tests, oral interviews, and fulfill an entire set of criteria prior to promotion from Patrol Officer.
