RSI Certified

Milford Ambulance is RSI certified. RSI stands for Rapid Sequence Intubation. Being RSI certified allows for Milford Ambulance to administer medications to a patient that will sedate them enough to intubate the patient which could result in life saving measures. Only RSI certified Medics who have RSI certified assistants with them can perform RSI. RSI is used only in true emergencies where intubating a patient to assist them with breathing is necessary, however, is difficult due to patient combativeness or other circumstances.
